As the Wireline Hand-Held Business Development Manager, you will have responsibility for the development and growth of our client’s hand-held solutions in the general wireline markets (Service Providers, Contractors, NEM’s, Federal/Local Government, Utilities/Transportation, and general usage markets via direct and indirect sales channels.)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and grow our wireline hand-held business; broaden our contact base to capture increased share in targeted markets:
    • Carrier Optical/Digital Transport, Front-/ Back-Haul, and contractors
    • Federal/State/Local Government
    • Utilities and Transportation
 
  • Work with the Sales Team:
    • To develop and build strategic relationships at key accounts (especially Tier I/II carriers, cable operators/MSO’s)
    • To train sales personnel (including Manufacturer Representatives, Distributors, and Rental companies) continuously on technical and sales positioning of our wireline hand-held portfolio
 
  • Work with the Home Office Business Unit:
  • To coordinate strategy between business unit and sales to develop wireline hand-held business value propositions for multi-market success
  • To analyze market data; identify trends and opportunities
  • To develop and execute a competitive strategy and tactics to increase our wireline hand-held business in FY-17
  • To promote the hand-held wireline business through presentations at industry forums, webinars, and account-based seminars
  • To manage positioning to all Americas sales channels, both direct and indirect
  • To continually identify opportunities for business expansion
 
Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years technical experience in fiber I&M, optical transport, wireline/wireless network convergence, front haul/back haul and digital test technologies.
  • Minimum 3-5 years direct customer interaction (Sales and/or Field Application Engineer/Technical Support Engineer).
  • Deep knowledge of T&M competitors in the Optical/Digital hand-held test market space
  • Knowledge of sales channels addressing the optical/digital hand-held markets
  • Strong background and relationships with key carrier I&M, front-/ back-haul, and optical transport customers and NEM’s.
  • Strong background and relationships with key customers in the non-carrier wireline market space (Government, Transportation, Utilities, etc.). I&M, front haul/back haul and optical transport customers.
  • BS Engineering or BA Business with documented technical acumen
