An exciting opportunity has become available within our organization for a field service technician; an engineer will be considered.
Our Client, an industry leader in innovative and technical solutions to the process analysis of gases, liquids, and solids is seeking an individual who will represent their company to their clients around the U.S.A. and in some instances internationally as well. This is a job with a lot of upside potential for growth down the road. They are a German company with a U.S. subsidiary and their business is growing rapidly. This is due not only to their industry leading equipment but also to their industry leading staff.

You will be servicing global companies as diverse as Coca Cola & Air Liquid Storage.
Location: Home based Detroit Area or can live and or be located anywhere in the USA close to a major airport since you will be using airlines and a car for 80 % travel.
Ideally will have 4 or more years experience as a Technician but will consider that special individual that has a demonstrable history of being able to learn new technologies. Maturity, self- starter, someone who can represent the parent company with excellence to their clients ... these are the character traits we are seeking in addition to technical ability and/or experience.
Following an in-depth training period, you will be required to work independently to carry out commissioning and service work on our optoelectronic measuring systems. This involves traveling to high profile customers in the US and abroad. Providing training to customers is a key element of the job and will require good communication skills.
You will work out of your home. There is a team of Our client’s employees in the USA, Detroit, Michigan, Atlanta, Georgia and other strategic locations in the USA.
Have had Technical training in electronics and or electrical and mechanical technology as a Technician and ideally has several years of experience as a Electronics or Electrical and Mechanical Technician.
An engineering degree is NOT required.
Nice, not necessary to have a 2 year associates degree in any of the following: electronics or electrical or mechanical technology or any classes or additional training.
Fluency in English is required
Willingness to travel up to 80 % travel
Enthusiasm for complex technologies
Technical training experience desirable
