We are looking for a creative and innovative individual who can design, engineer and fabricate a high level and broad range of electronic solutions including digital and analog circuits, printed circuit boards (PCBs), stand-alone instruments and custom devices that include both electronic and non-electronic components. The incumbent will provide consulting services to faculty, use computer design applications, prototype, test and optimize designs, fabricate and assemble electronic systems, and troubleshoot scientific instruments. S/he will also give guidance and instruction to students on the proper design and assembly of circuit boards and instruments, including soldering techniques, discharge techniques, and design techniques and work with students and faculty to use a 3D printer and similar equipment. This position may be required to travel and/or provide project management in support of certain projects as well as perform other duties as assigned.
Please have 7-10 years of design, fabrication, and testing of electronics, instruments and systems or Bachelor's degree in Electronics with 7 years of engineering experience.
