The Inside Technical Sales & Support - Utilize your people skills and your technical, electrical / engineering skills. In this role you will actively support the regional sales team in growing sales by working with customers and prospects to quote and order technical, industrial electrical products. You’ll provide excellent service interacting with customers by phone and email. Your technical, electrical / engineering knowledge comes into play by assisting customers in specifying the appropriate technical products used to control humidity, air flow and velocity, chemicals and gases in their facilities, equipment and environments. You will offer technical solutions by examining and clarifying requirements and specifications and recommending product solutions.
No Relo. Must live within a commutable distance of Schaumburg, IL.
Demonstrate a “Customer First philosophy”
Build and maintain key- account relationships, thru phone and email communication
Increase sales opportunities by identifying untapped customer needs, product enhancements; and industry developments
Assist sales reps in generating new sales by following up on leads, clarifying requirements and recommending product solutions.
Deliver sales presentations and demos, explaining technical solutions to customer requests and RFQ’s.
Make recommendations after examining customer requirements and specifications;
Prepare estimates and quotes by assembling component costs; confer with corporate as necessary.
Place orders for products
Maintain best practices on RMA Processes (Return Merchandise Authorizations). Monitor, track, and perform returns or exchanges for customers.
Research and determine warranty status of returned products.
Diagnose, fix and re-calibrate electrical/electronic products when possible to resolve technical issues.
Contact with European plants for design, customizing, engineering and highest level technical support matters.
2 or more years’ experience in technical support or inside sales for electronics products
2 year Associates degree in electronics, engineering or electrical engineering
Experience analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, calibrating or repairing electronics products or devices such as sensors or transmitters that detect humidity, air or gases.
Ability to understand how temperature, humidity, volume chemistry affect electronics equipment and environmental conditions.
Ability to understand terms like dew point, air flow and velocity, fresh air intake, heat loss, humidity, monitoring, pressure control, sensors, temperature, transmitters.
Experience in any of these industries is highly desired: HVAC, Manufacturing Electrical sensors, Transmitters, Components, Products, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, Agriculture, Food Processing, Storage & Transportation, Medical & Lab Facilities, Power Production (oil, gas, water, chemical), Weather Monitoring, Agriculture, Process Control
Quick learner – able to gain proficiency in company’s technical products and solutions
Team oriented, ability to multi-task and adapt to new situations quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Dedication to giving the best customer service possible
Maintain up to date customer and sales lead information in CRM.
May be required to repair products for customers.
