The Project Manager reports to the President and leads the effort to plan and execute product development projects to support product sales in each of our markets, to maintain the required product lines, and provide solutions for our customers. The Project Manager interacts with all departments and coordinates all tasks to meet required timelines and ensure efficient product development cycles.   Project Manager is the key liaison between the sales team and the engineering team.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Plan every project related to product development, enhancement, revision, or change. This includes design, development, and deployment stages.
  • Development of project proposals – Contract Review, gathering the important data to determine the viability of the project and estimate ROI for management accept/reject decision.
    • Work with sales to determine project requirements, project market demand, and required timelines
    • Work with all departments to determine all potential costs
    • Analyze project for projected ROI
  • Manage the project through every stage, ensuring the execution of every gate and task
    • Involve all employees required for completion of the project.
    • Work with Industrial/Product designer and Sales on planning and executing the design phase of the project.
    • Work with Design, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing on planning and executing the development phases.
    • Work with Sales on planning and executing the deployment stages
    • Gather lessons learned and communicate opportunities for improvement in future projects
  • Collect data on completed projects such as development hours, tooling costs, and prototyping costs to report on the project actual ROI.
    • Track project task and gate completion and report on the project performance to plan
    • Track resource use – time and financial – throughout the project to identify possible cost overruns
  • Work with the Management team to ensure proper priorities are set for all projects.
  • Understand the importance of their role in obtaining Quality Objectives.
