Our client is a privately held manufacturing, engineering services and technology company serving international aerospace and medical equipment industries. Customers include: Abbott, Embraer, GE Aviation, Honeywell, Rockwell Collins, Stryker, and Zoll.

The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for expanding our clients medical customer base. In this position you will target existing and new medical customers, develop new sales tactics, help refine sales literature and influence our medical customers’ sourcing strategies. You will leverage technical, organizational and market knowledge to assist customers. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide customer/market feedback and participate in the marketing, market planning and technical development of medical products and services.

Qualifications / Requirements: 
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and proven sales record
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or business related technical degree
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and technical specifications
  • Established track record; Meeting Sales Goals, Closing Skills, Prospecting Skills, Technical Understanding, Building Relationships, People Skills, Data Entry Skills, Customer Focus, Professionalism, Motivation for Sales
  • Travel: 50% domestic, up to 10% international travel required
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent phone, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with people at all levels are required
  • This is a full-time position and may be based in Rockford, IL or a location geographically convenient to major medical customers.
