DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating software drivers for power management and audio products. The Hand Held Power Business Unit develops and markets world-class high integration power management ICs and Analog Baseband ICs (power + audio). The companys success is driven by individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to see their hard work have a direct impact on the Companys results. Candidates must be highly self-motivated and willing to work in Sunnyvale or San Diego, California.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop & support embedded drivers for power management (and power management with audio) products which support a variety of Baseband and Applications processors.
Act as a go to resource within the product line for general software issues, customer support, and architecture decisions.
Travel to customer locations and provide on-site support as needed for hardware/software integration and debug.

Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Proficient with embedded operating systems, including mobile Symbian, Android, and Windows Mobile.
Experience with Qualcomm baseband processor platforms. Familiarity with Broadcom, NXP, Infineon, EMP/STE baseband processors a plus.
Familiarity with multiple embedded processor platforms, including ARM, Intel, Samsung, Marvell, OMAP, etc
Hands-on experience in debugging silicon-level electronics in a cellular systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage.
Education & Background Required:

BSEE, BSCS or equivalent
Experience with Qualcomm baseband processor platforms
Intimate knowledge of Symbian.
5+ years experience in developing embedded drivers for power management products
Mobile Phone systems architecture knowledge is a plus
