DescriptionPosition Title: Senior Project Engineer (Electronics)
Department: Technical Product Engineering
Reports To: Engineering Group Manager
Position Summary:
Responsible for the design and development of custom electronic controllers for the divisions brushless motor/blower products.
Responsibilities\Skills:
Design and development of motor controllers up to 3KW which meet regulatory requirements
Analyze and interpret problems and factors pertaining to the modification, application, and design of electronic controllers.
Analyze technical requirements, originate solutions and accomplish objectives in the most efficient and economical manner.
Prepare and maintain project schedules.
Initiate and follow through of design, component fabrication and assembly for working models and prototypes.
Responsible for the production design documentation and design qualification
Provide engineering support for the procurement of contract manufactured controls.
Participate in project team with colleagues of other disciplines to develop motor and blower products.
Provide engineering support for the manufacturing of products.
Provide application technical support to customers.
Provide engineering liaison for the regulatory agency evaluation of products.
Education\Experience:
BS in Engineering - BSEE required.
Minimum of five years of controller development / Salary commensurate with experience
Knowledge of electromagnetic (PM and SR motors) and power electronic design
Knowledge of micro controllers and DSPs.
Ability to write software for motor drives.
Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements for line powered drives.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
